Why does my drain keep choking
A drain that chokes again within weeks was not cleared, it was pushed. The blockage moved further along the run and re-formed. A proper clear removes the material; it also checks whether the gradient or an old joint is causing it to collect in the same place.
What actually happens
- Repeat chokes at the same point usually mean gradient or a joint, not habit.
- Clearing that pushes material along the line guarantees the return.
- Kitchen lines choke on grease; bathroom lines on hair and soap. Different clears.
